An Evening Visit to Film Nagar Temple

On a fine weekend (Saturday) evening we drove from Banjara Hills Main Road to Jubilee Hills Road No.38. Though it was a Saturday, the temple was not heavily crowded and we could easily get a parking lot right in front of the temple premises.

The above pic clicked from the parking lot while returning from the temple. After we parked our car, as we walked up the stairs, there was a stunning statue of Sri Maha Vishnu in Viswaroopam (the Universal Form of Sri Maha Vishnu). This imposing and magnificent statue in different colours has become a photo point where visitors take selfies and clicks.

We too took few clicks at this spot and continued to climb the steps. After climbing the stairs, we reach the main temple premises where we see the "Prasadam Counter". Here we can buy laddu prasadam and other prasadams like pulihora.

Though the prasadam counter is at the entrance only, normally we buy prasadam only after darshan. So we first went round the temple complex and having the darshan of deities in the small shrines inside the premises. We had darshan of Sri Ganesha, Sri Mallikarjuna (Siva), Bala Subramanian (Kartikeya), Murali Krishna and finally the main deity of Sri Venkateswara Swamy. This idol is visible from the main road, as you drive past the road. T

This idol of Sri Venkateswara Swamy is / was shown in Many Telugu movies and TV serials. As we moved further up the stairs, there is Ayyappa shrine. From here we moved down the stairs and had the darshan of Sri Rama temple in a small shrine. From here as we walk further, there a huge idol of Veeranjaneya (Hanuman) which is the main attraction of the temple

For us, it took 30 minutes to go round the temple premises and visit all the deities in the mini-temples. There is even Shirdi Sai Dhyan Mandir where you can sit peacefully and meditate for a while. Visitors usually spend more time in this temple enjoying the view of Jubilee Hills from a height.

The temple is usually not heavily crowded, so you can enjoy spending some time at Daiva Sannidhanam Film Nagar Temple for a peace of mind in the ever-busy and stressful life. The temple is located in a busy area, yet you can feel calmness inside the temple premises. We had spent a peaceful weekend evening at this place and filled our minds with positive vibes full of spirituality.
