Mesmerizing View of Three Seas from Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu.

Today, I would like to take you on a virtual tour of the serene Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu. In October 2018 during Dussehra festive time, we went on a family trip to few places in Tamil Nadu. Gone are the carefree days when we used to go on frequent tours to different places of interest in India and abroad. I sincerely pray god to save the world / India from this pandemic situation and pray that the world / India should get back to normal life. From Hyderabad we landed in Chennai, visited few places in Chennai. On Day 1 of our trip, we went to Kanchipuram and visited Varadaraja Perumal temple , Kamakshi temple and Ekambareswara Temple . On Day 2 of our tour, we visited Mahabalipuram, Marina Beach in Chennai and Ashtalakshmi temple. We then went to Madurai on Day 3, had a quick darshan of Meenakshi Amman. Watching Sunset In The Arabian Sea At Kovalam Sunset Point in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu

Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu is one of the top tourist attractions in India as it the confluence of Bay of Bengal, Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea. The sunrise from Bay of Bengal and the sunset in Arabian Sea and the top two attractions of Kanyakumari. It is one of the very few places in India where one can watch sunrise from Bay of Bengal in the east and sunset in the Arabian Sea in the west. Puri in Odisha which is on the east coast is one such place / town where one can watch sunrise from the Bay of Bengal and also sunset in sea (Bay of Bengal). In October 2018 we went on a Tamil Nadu tour. On Day 1 of our tour we visited Kapaaleshwar temple in Mylapore and Parthasarathy in Triplicane, Chennai. Watching Sunrise at Sunrise Point in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu

Kanyakumari (Kanniyakumari in Tamil language) is the Southernmost tip of India's mainland / peninsular India. It is a coastal town in Tamil Nadu where the three seas (viz the Bay of Bengal in the east, Indian Ocean in the South and Arabian Sea in the west) meet. The city got the name after Goddess Kanyakumari - a form of Goddess Parvati Devi. The temple of Goddess Kanyakumari stands on the Southernmost tip on the sea shore. The compound wall of the temple can be seen in the below picture which is taken from Vivekananda Rock. In the picture below that is the Southernmost tip of India's mainland as seen from Vivekananda Rock Memorial. Tiruvanthapuram (Trivandrum) in Kerala is the nearest airport. Being the Southernmost tip of India's mainland Sunrise from the Bay of Bengal in the east and sunset in the Arabian Sea in the west is the main attraction of Kanyakumari.
