As per Hinduism / Vedic astrology the Sun, the moon and the seven planets are known as the Navagrahas. The nine planets include the Sun (Aditya), the Moon (Som), Mars (Mangal), Mercury (Budh), Jupiter (Guru), Venus (Shukra), Saturn (Shani), Rahu and Ketu. Each planet has a specific position with Sun at the centre.
The nine planets influence / affect / govern the human life. Based on the position of the nine planets, people on Earth face benefic (favorable) or malefic (unfavorable) results. At times the planetary position becomes so unfavorable that it might jeopardize the life of an individual who planetary positions are unfavorable as per his / her birth chart. And accordingly people will experience ups and downs in their life. The Navagrahas are highly powerful and are very influential.
In order to reduce the malefic effect of the Navagrahas and to heal the malefic impact of these planets, our ancient rishis had shared the Navagraha stotram with the mankind which is one of the most effective stotrams. Regular chanting of the stotram may invoke positive vibrations around the planets in malefic position and thus reduces the unfavorable planetary affects on an individual to a great extent.
So for a peaceful and blissful life, reciting the stotram will serve the purpose. Here goes the mantra:
