मैं एक मोबाइल फ़ोन हूँ। इस आधुनिक तकनीकी युग में मैं एक बहुत ही उपयोगी साधन हूँ। बच्चों से लेके बूढ़ों तक सभी के हाथों में मैं हमेशा रहती हूँ। मेरे बगैर बच्चे और बड़े एक पल भी नहीं रह सकते। लोग मुझे सिर्फ एक दूसरे से बात करने के लिए ही उपयोग नहीं करते बल्कि कई अनेक कामों के लिए भी वे मेरा इस्तेमाल करते है जैसे फोटो और वीडियो निकलने के लिए, गाने सुनने या सिनेमा देखने के लिए आदि। मेरे बिना उनका जीवन दुर्भर हो जायेगा। लेकिन मैं ये चाहती हूँ कि लोग मुझे बहुत कम इस्तेमाल करे ताकि उनका सेहद अच्छी रहे। मुझे सिर्फ सरूरत होने पर ही इस्तेमाल करना। मेरी लोगों से यही विनती हैं.

I, Droupadi Murmu, am born in 1958 to a poor Santhali tribal family in a small village in Odisha. My village is one of the most remote and under-developed places in India. My parents named me Puti Tudu but one of my teachers named me Droupai. After completing my school education in my village, I became the first woman from my village to complete university education when I earned my B.A degree from Rama Devi Women's college in Bhubaneswar. My career started in 1979 when I joined Odisha's Irrigation and Power Dept as a Junior Assitant. I left the job in 1983 to look after my family. From 1994 to 1997 I taught at Sri Aurobindo Integral Education and Research Centre in Rairangpur. In 1997, I joined BJP and was elected as the Councillor of Rairangpur Nagar Panchayat.
