Tips to take care of your dry skin

Dry skin is quite common among many people, particularly at the onset of winter you skin starts getting drier and drier due to the natural removal of moisture from your body. You really feel quite uncomfortable with your dry skin and you want to get rid of it by taking care of your skin that gets drier and drier. Here are some simple tips for you to take of your dry skin in a natural way by following some home remedies:
  • Retain the body moisture by increasing the intake of fluids like fresh fruit juices and water as well
  • Take at least one fresh fruit like an orange, apple or any other fruit of your liking on a regular basis. This would help in retaining the body moisture and thus keeps your skin smooth and hydrated.
  • Take a healthy and balanced food which is very essential for an overall healthy condition of the body.
For external applications you can use the following:
  • Apply pure coconut oil or mustard oil or even sesame oil on your entire body skin at least half-an-hour before having a shower (bath). Use the oil that suits your body. Even the Bajaj almond hair oil serves the purpose, you can apply it on the skin.
  • In the same way you can even apply oil half-an-hour before you go to bed as this helps in keeping the body soft and the oil is absorbed into the skin.
  • Depending on the availability you can massage your body with herbal oil which helps in rejuvenating the body cells and thus helps in the blood circulation.
  • Avoid the use of soaps / bath gels / shampoos for cleansing the body instead you can use some natural herbal products like gram flour / besan.
  • Do not use too hot a water for having a shower or bath but use warm water.
  • Use natural moisturizers like honey or honey blended with glycerin
  • Avoid exposing yourself to extreme weather conditions
